Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is a luxury accommodation situated in Nkuringo. At the southwestern edge of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Perched at an elevation of approximately 2,100 meters (6,800 feet) above sea level. It holds the distinction of being Uganda’s highest lodge. The lodge features seven spacious stone cottages constructed from local volcanic rock. Each cottage includes a large sitting room with a double-sided fireplace, overstuffed armchairs, hand-woven carpets, and a private veranda. Accessibility
The lodge is accessible by road, approximately an 11-hour drive from Kampala. Alternatively, daily scheduled flights from Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip take about 1 hour and 15 minutes, followed by a 34-kilometer (approximately 2-hour) drive to the lodge. For those traveling from Rwanda, the lodge is about a 6-hour drive from Kigali.
